Thanks alot.. Yeh thats what Im guessing. He just said he'd take £500 lolz
-
• #135
Gonna say; £450 for f+f is quite extortionate, and I love Concordes.
-

500 GBP for no matter what Concorde frame is way more than they even costed new...

I wasn't speaking literally. Those carbon frames are from the last years of Concorde's existence (the blue one, never seen one like that black one). They didn't produce those frames themselves (they never produced any bike themselves as they had no real production unit; they bought low end bikes everywhere they could find them for a decent price in Belgium and The Netherlands, and the high end bikes in Italy) but when carbon made it's grand entree, they didn't even try to develop something themselves, they just bought stuff and putted 'Concorde' on it. When I was racing back in the early and mid nineties, you had 2 or 3 brands that had the same monocoque frameset. I think that's how they speeded up their end.

The reason why they could sell the frames so (rather) cheap was that they just bought what was on the mass-market; they didn't do any research or whatsoever. But the Billato and Ciöcc frames are nice, that's for sure. And their eighties frames are OK too as those often were made by local craftsmen who knew how to weld decent tubing (Columbus Sl e.g.). But from the nineties on most of their bikes that weren't Ciöcc or Billato, were really cheap low end stuff.

Yeah, I know. the black was certainly is dubious, especially with the PDM colours.
I am surprised at how heavy my Concorde Colombo lo pro's weight (I had thought it was a really high end frame when I got it) compares to my Aende lo pro.
@Trunkie 's Concorde should be here.

Reviving thread with my Concorde Giro. Not in a completed state yet as saddle, seatpost & pedals are temporary and will be changed. Spacers hopefully will be gone when I'll figure out the optimal fit.

Ahh a Concorde thread, Fantastic! Here is one more to the family.

Also there's a guy who has a similar commute to me that has the best rattiest concorde I've ever seen. It's white, with a fully chromed head tube which I've never seen before on a concorde, and it also has fully chromed rear stays which I've also never seen before. Anyway, if the owner is on here I'd love to see it added.

ha, great work, that's the one! It doesn't look so clean now.. Impressed you remembered that ad from 7 years ago..?!?
I really love this, what's going on with it though, assume the chromed headtube was a later addition? Strange about the seat stays too. But anyway, it's rad. Cheers for posting.

Don't remember the ad but just rememberr seeing whilst studying through pictures of Concorde frames.
I too would have thought it's custom jobbie.
Picture of a Belgian rider who was in the same team (think 1994):
maybe you should find this one to go with it. ;-)
or an American Eagle mtb like this one (ridden by former Olympic Champion, World Champion, World Cup winner,.. Bart Brentjens). American Eagle was the brand Veltec used for it's mountainbikes, Concorde for it's road bikes.
