  • The right skid at the right time is crutial.... Could get all kinds of messy if you mess your skids up.

  • Combination of high fibre diet and heavy antibiotics over christmas means that my fudge dragon would look more like an aero-fin than a beige smear (a Rapha Pinochio if you will), but it's the gel consumers amongst us that I'm really worried about, not to mention the effect such shadiness will have on the Smidsy brigade:

  • Owns overlaps with doesn't own.

  • Had a voucher, so thought I'd see what the fuss was about the shadow bibs and jersey. I'll report back soon on how they fair.

  • Someone needs to test that. I nominate @Dammit

Based on todays evidence I could conduct a brief but harrowing test roughly every two hours, if required.

  • Stop it.

    Just stop it

  • Top drawer.

    Both out of reach.

  • Stick the heating on?

  • Out of curiosity has anyone tried to nikwax/waterproof their Classic Softshell Jacket?

@youramericanlover I have had my women's softshell for 4-5 years, I've used nikwax/ tech wash to reproof it about 4 times, always dried in a tumbledryer after, water beads off. Each time the effect lasted for a shorter amount of time though.

Other half got me a brand new one for Xmas tho..

  • Cheers Caz, sounds like it's time for Nikwax then! - especially as I also accidentally machine washed my nylon Dhb cosmo and deleted it's waterproofing. Whoops.

  • Oof, good luck.

  • I was actually at the perfect temperature going for a light pootle tonight, in my 3 layers of merino, scarf and softshell... Didn't overheat.

  • Price drops on lots of sale items

  • annoyed that I paid £15 more for the jeans .. sneaky practice this. Stuff never goes out of stock in my size anyway.

  • Bib tights - I'm 6'1" and 69kg - do I want M or L?

  • M, maybe even S

  • Hmmm, all six items in my order from 1st Jan, and which is due to be delivered today, have been reduced further. I'll reorder everything today at the lower prices, and return the whole order from 1st Jan then. Seems a very odd way to do business.

  • It's fairly standard.

Companies are allowed to do what they like with their pricing.

  • I might go the same way .. i'll end up saving enough for a PT base layer #buyerlogic

Companies are allowed to do what they like with their pricing.

Obvs I thought Rapha wouldnt do that. Also TK Maxx thread >>>>>>>>>

  • For everyone that goes through the hassle of that, there's 10 that won't.

  • Not odd at all.

You could email customer services to see if they'd be kind enough to honour the lower price as you very recently bought the items at a higher price before going around the houses reordering and returning. Of course, they don't have to refund the difference, some companies do though, but there's no obligation.

  • You're doing this rapha thing all wrong mate. You're supposed to get the money gun out and spray.

  • Waiting for your review of the shadow kit #gabbakiller

  • It's a standard gamble though isn't it.

You want something in the sale. You either buy now, or wait for the further reductions, and risk losing out.
