As promised, it's the New Year and I am now vegan proper.
I'm already comfortable making a large assortment of tasty and well-rounded vegan meals, but I'd like to treat myself to a new cookbook to celebrate the occasion. Is Thug Kitchen generally considered to be a good start?

The aforementioned Veganomicon is pretty good as well.
Also the author's website Post Punk Kitchen (theppk.com) I like a lot for the interesting recipes. There really is so much inspiring vegan food stuff online nowadays you'll find enough for months of cooking.
Keep your mind open, prepare to get some spices you probably haven't used until now, buy a wok and have fun!

You might want to look into the Mildred's cookbook as well, not everything's vegan, but you can substitute anything that's not for something that is... got it for an early birthday present and it's well worth a punt

And another 'themed' month with a name that's had cosmetic surgery:

I can never decide if this sort of stuff actually does any good or if it should be done some other way; for instance, the Vegan Society has the 'Vegan Pledge'. Maybe offering people a variety of approaches will work, I don't know.

I guess even if personally I would do it another way it's still all good as it basically moves people to at least try veganism.
The animals do not care about the why and how exactly somebody's vegan.Maybe offering people a variety of approaches will work, I don't know.
I do think so, guess people are different simple as that..

Funny you should but this up Oliver, just watched some bits on youtube about it, apparently Jamie Oliver's restaurants were going to be in on this, but pulled out due to various videos and other Jamie-hating shenanigans by vegans

We could theme these like Compass Rides and go to a different drinks every time. Dakin and I did SEs last time around, we could do a Wednesday and go to Easts, or a Thursday when we know Wests is on, or a Tuesday again and go to Norths this time. Souths (Monday) seems permanently dead at the moment, sadly. Or a Friday when Friday drinks are on, either in Central London, usually the Lamb, or in Brockley.

For those who don't know what Compass Rides are:

I bought Thug Kitchen, because... Thug Life?
@FrancoBackenkino, I use the internet occasionally, but I like making notes and sticking extra suggestions in too much to not have an actual book!
