A set of handlebars and an office chair, and you've got the baddest quad-bike on the block.

Does anyone here know the old (1977-1986) Porsche 928 (not the shitty rounded facelift from 1987 and later!)
I love this car, and especially the S versions from 1980 to 1986. Sometimes when you watch movies that play in the late 70s, like Fargo season 2, you see all these old cars there and realized that the 928 was already out there at that time: this would stand out like a spaceship! Such a gorgeous avant garde attitude behind the concept and styling.
And one of the least expensive ways to drive a 300+ HP Porsche, and the only one to a V8 Porsche.

Tis a beautiful car alright. Much sought-after. Many hipster points. Etc.
Cannot believe what OG 959 are hitting at auction now.

And the interior! So integrated and futuristic, but still modest and oozing with high-end material tactility (everything leather-covered etc.).
A today's Porsche interior (similar to all modern cars) by comparison: could it be more anti???

Guess this is the right place for new car chats- got this just before Christmas. I love it, 1987 Mercedes w460 280ge originally but it's had a 3litre 6 cylinder manual fuel pump om606 diesel installed giving it a rather lovely 280bhp and respectable mpg!
joined the gwagon owners forum but it's not very active, anyone on here have one?
going to install leather seats and refurb the walnut dash but keep it as-is otherwise. would like to get a bike rack though, can't decide between a tow bar mount or a seasucker- thoughts?

Yeah I drove a defender but the giant gear stick put me off, too tractor like- lots of fun and I do like them but this is auto with bags of power, better mpg and quiet inside, also I'm 6'1" which is on the limit for a defender where as in this I have about 30cm of headroom and space for my elbows which is nice
Am yet to visit my buddy who has a tuned twisted defender, interested to compare side by side -

Twisted do some great stuff with Defenders, but they're so expensive.

The G55's and 63's are pretty much the standard of weapons of choice for the young, aspiring Emirati male - they're ten a penny.
They can be when they cost about twenty quid to fill.

Strong look...
Always astounded how the likes of Khan make a profit.
...and then I remember it is the minority that have taste.

Have the that bloke from the Black Eyed Peas loose in the design studio?
There are about 6 known 242 in rhd in the UK. But think they only got here as diplomatic special orders?
One sold early this year, a proper wreck for about £3.5k
Cheaper to import a solid model from the US, shipping and duty about £1509/1800 and car price around £1-2500 for a solid early 242 or 142
Theyre is a big volvo holders collection in Belgium I think that is being slowly distributed amongst volvo community. Another in the US/ Canada maybe? Lots of 144/142/242 saw at least two 242gt in silver with stripes on there in not terrible condition
