There are about 6 known 242 in rhd in the UK. But think they only got here as diplomatic special orders?
One sold early this year, a proper wreck for about £3.5k
Cheaper to import a solid model from the US, shipping and duty about £1509/1800 and car price around £1-2500 for a solid early 242 or 142Theyre is a big volvo holders collection in Belgium I think that is being slowly distributed amongst volvo community. Another in the US/ Canada maybe? Lots of 144/142/242 saw at least two 242gt in silver with stripes on there in not terrible condition

Almost all of the old ones have been crushed or rotted by now, those that are left are a) rare and b) getting spendy, unfortunately, and they've never been as cheap as they are in the US, likely due to sheer numbers I would think.
We (UK) never got the 242 at all, so a RHD one would be (if in good condition) pretty serious money.
I happen to like Volvo's, preferably estates and preferably with a minimum of 350 bhp, I acknowledge that my taste is not shared by everyone though.
