Wait - you're saying the RAF must be bad for killing innocents by bombing urban areas, but that it would be short-sighted to avoid bombing urban areas and focus on the supply lines?
short sighted of the air marshals, not me, cus i didnt start the war, it's their cause etc.
as for military history... lol it's all the fucking same story from Alexander the great to Hitler.
and yes, it's always 'bad' when innnocents are killed

You're continuing not to make any fucking sense. I suggest - maybe if they avoid killing innocents it's better than killing innocents? And you reply 'lol they're all Hitler'.
Grow the fuck up.

And it's the time of year again.... when Starfish&Coffee has his left wing views severely challenged by the supposed necessity of keeping the flooding out of people's homes.
Okay, so I feel certain that my tax money is well spent when helping people in their personal misfortune, illness and disability for example, but how much of my tax money should be spent protecting other people's private property? On telly I see conservatories bigger than my London flat, and owners blaming the government for the water that has submerged it.
-
• #38710
^ Perhaps the argument against that is that flood defences are needed to protect public property too, such as hospitals, the stuff my tax money already has paid for.
-
• #38712
The money shouldn't be spent on keeping the flooding out of folks homes but on measures that will reduce the likelihood of flooding in the first place.
George Monbiot has plenty written about this, hard not to find links on soshul meeja.
