^ disappoint
was expecting 4" headtube with cylinder insert bored [like figure 8] to 1.125" and 1", running skefco needle bearings top and bottom

Are you restricted in airfoil shape/length choice (Rules...max 1:3)?
No, CTT rules. The shape as drawn is 3.5:1
Are you going to drop in shaped "not a fairing" spacers on the front tube?
It had occurred to me

needle bearings
I certainly pondered messing about with the headset design, but in the end it seemed hard to beat a good old fashioned EC30 headset given that the head tube is already decided.

Strictly speaking, I only needed to model the head tube to check clearances, but I got carried away

@mdcc_tester: That looks really nice. Do the seatstays come together before they meet the seattube? Do you have a detailed shot of that area?

The drawing is not representative of the reality, I cocked up the stays and there was no good reason to attempt to get them any better apart from CAD-training.

Custom parts are at least all in the CAD files, although there might be some tweaks, now I need to model the bars and stem.

That's modelled? Which one are you?
Needs moar reflecto-porn.

That's modelled?
Yes, about 10 minutes rendering time on a 3.1GHz Intel i5-3340

Made a couple of mods, hopefully will allow the fork to work better.
You're welcome btw.

Would be much better if the frame and forks were all in the same plane, perhaps?

I was contemplating firing up fusion 360, but that drawing would have taken me about 6 weeks.
You win.

@mdcc_tester are you running static FEA on those forks? The exaggerated bending tool is really useful

are you running static FEA
No, I'm just throwing a ton of metal at the problem. The bike already works with a standard solo fork, so as I'm not too bothered about the weight I can just supersize everything. If you know a quick way to measure the volume of a F360 model, I can tell you how much they're going to weigh.

You're looking for the Mass Properties thing, should be under Inspect. No clue though, I use SolidWorks myself.

I assume it must be something similar to properties with inventor
Fork looks serious! Are you restricted in airfoil shape/length choice (Rules...max 1:3)?
