I taped up the blade, put it in the vice and attacked it with chisels and hacksaws and whatever else I found lying around.
Didn't take too much effort to get it out.
Made this pine handle and a sheath but don't like em so have now smashed this handle apart and just have the blade kicking about. Was going to use deer antler for a handle but it broke when I tried drilling it, think it was too small so not enough material left around the hole. Will maybe buy another (larger) piece and try again.
I did polish the blade up a bit and buff out a couple nicks before taking out the pine handle

I made some knife handles as a kid. Burl wood is by far the best material to work with, and the most reliable from a safety perspective.

I think you can buy the Mora blades as blanks for your own projects. To get this one out, I would tape up the blade with electrical tape to protect you and it, bung it in a vice, and hacksaw the butt of the handle off as close as you can to the tang end without hitting it. Then it would be a case of just trying to nibble away from the handle up to the tang repeatedly. You could try a long horizontal cut along the top of the tang and then a vertical cut to meet it just at the point the tang widens. Remove enough of the handle from above and see if you can bash the bottom half off.
A dremel cutting disc might speed things up but some plastics just melt.
