3Rensho Custom Roadie

Yup, there were many distractions but I'll try to get this ready for spring. I hope that I'll be able to deliver some updates soon.

Would that fit the classic 3Rensho blue and pink Benotto tape? Can't decide whether yes or total anti

If the pink matches the bar tape then perhaps... But I think that pink is different

Just my thoughts but isn't 3rensho blue (as opposed to moser blue) too dull/light/green to really go with pink, especially benotto.

Also I haven't seen a 3rensho with pink benotto before just lots of mosers?

I think a lighter blue like that one would still fit the benotto pink.

What colour for tape and saddle would you suggest @HHC?

That blue (I think my classification of 3rensho blue is a bit off) wouldn't look bad at all with the pink however IMO would just be begging to be a couple of shades darker. That said I think the pink saddle would be too much and it wouldn't match the tape.

Personally I would go for dark blue tape and possibly saddle (or black saddle) a la below.

Again, this is all my irrelevant opinion and its your bike and it would be quite hard to get a 3rensho to look bad, something I trust you can easily avoid.

No apologies needed, thanks for your opinion. I decided not to buy the pink saddle. I'll give my silver Kashimax Aero saddle a go, at least for the final build pics. As it is not padded at all, I will probably put a black Ariake Jaguar II on for riding.

Back when Hubjub had these for sale, I bought those for the bike:

I even consider to put a Kashimax top tube protector on this bike. I know that it's fairly uncommon to put them on a road bike but once it's repainted I want to avoid every ding.
