  • Sense8 was like the things they put on in TV shops, all pretty looking but basically just a helicopter shot of a valley or wave crashing, no real story.
Vikings was awesome and I'm in love with Ragnar Lothbrok.

  • Deutschland 83, excellent so far in the 5 episodes I've watched. Some decent (and not always obvious) early 80s music choices, including Fischer-Z.

  • Finished Bridge 3 last night also, disappointed with this series compared to the previous. Sagas' condition being a major plot line got really annoying

Also finished Homeland which I enjoyed (if a bit glossy)

  • Is Penny Dreadful worth a watch?

  • Although, I seem to have bad form at the moment for getting bored and bailing out on things.
I watched the first series, but I thought it was awful. It struck me as badly written fan-fiction for people who can't be arsed to read the original books. It could have been really good, but British made things seem to suffer from a lack of budget. I got the impression that they spent their money on making it look good, but they forgot the script.

  • It was alright.

  • And Eva Green is quite lovely.

  • So, should I watch the sherlock thing? Twitter seems to be exploding in a mighty "You fuckin' what?"

  • It was Christopher Nolan levels of wtf, but fucking great nonetheless.

  • I'm still trying to work out whether I find the Cumberbatch Sherlock series ridiculously clever or hideously annoying.

Am going to watch the new one tonight and will attempt to come to a conclusion. Reading the above comments suggest I may come down on the negative side of the coin.

  • It was OK quite entertaining

  • Hmmm I'm still sitting on the fence. It wasn't as annoying as usual but the whole scenario and conclusion felt like a bit of a bail out / dissapointment

  • I just tried watching it, made it to about an hour.
I thought the suits were good.

  • Limitless.

    Generic and formulaic, but enjoyable.

  • Pretty hooked on Making A Murderer right now.

  • I'm very late to the party, but I've just started watching Luther. Seems ok, and it gets an extra point because my mate Carl was in it as an extra.

  • I really like Luther. It took me a while to realise it was more than a standard plodding BBC drama but by Series 3 I loved it.

On a completely different note, Master of None on Netflix has some great moments as well. Aziz Ansari can be really funny but Eric Wareheim and in the first episode, the kids, just steal it.

  • Pretty hooked on Making A Murderer right now.

Watched first two last night, unbelievable really!

  • I watched five hours of Making a Murderer yesterday and finished it off for breakfast.

Some truly astonishing characters in it and plenty that will probably never add up. That's all I'll say without giving anything away.

Did people really dress that badly in 2006/7 or is it just because it's such a redneck part of America?

  • Oooh, might have to check this out.

  • Holy fuck Fargo

    this.

  • started MAM yesterday.

as always: never trust a pig.

  • People have been telling me to watch Luther for a while...finally got round to watching the first 3 episodes.

It's so basic. How can everyone think so much of it?

Some of the acting is appalling, the plots are wafer thin, the characters are so 2d and in terms of case solving it just leaps from one assumption to another. Am I missing something? Does it turn into The Wire in season 2?

  • I like it because they've captured the look and the mood of London pretty well.
