I'm considering an Edge 1000 (although it gets shit-canned by DCRainmaker) and etrex 30 but it's tiring having to learn all their quirks again, it's tiring losing my data, it's tiring getting lost because they fail and then it's tiring having to argue with retailers to give me my money back for Garmin's shit products.
How does the navigation work on it? Is it a nice clear line of where to ride? I have a Vista HCx and find it small, overly detailed and basically a pain in the butt to use for cycling with. The mount is shit too.
