It was a bit tongue in cheek as the discussion seemed to be around heritage US boots, but when I was working on a site it seemed like 9/10 of the guys working had those.
Being too much of a tart (and broke) I went for some traditional Cat/Dickies style ones. Which in fairness worked perfectly well and only cost about £20. They were also surprisingly light considering they had steel toes.
yeah, de walts surprisingly good too. Uvex quattro were always tough wearing in chemical plants, but a bit lunar-esque on the street (or perhaps it was the bright green slime sticking to them)
