    I mean, from a stupid persons point of view (mine) how much wear does a bushing really withstand before said forces are exerted on the bearing itself.
    I think the Fox's I've got have been running like that for a year without any issues. Then again, I ride like pebbles might kill me.

  • I guess the bushing is a interference fit in the eyelet. But that there's room for movement against the bolt. This would spread the wear out over the width of the bushing. As opposed to just the width of the eyelet bushing.

    Going to give it a try though. Worse case, I'll need to replace £9 eyelet bearings.

    In which case I'll have a bolt made that reduces from a 10mm shoulder to 6mm. With a nut that threads into the other side of the frame, which itself has a 6mm threaded hole to receive the first bolt.
