Record generally didn't trickle down (the '95 Chorus seatpost being a notable exception), but the lower groups can be good value if you know what to look for, especially from '95 when the name was added (snob value).
My favourite from the period is 2nd gen. Chorus: CDA cranks, front & rear derailleurs and there weren't separate Chorus shifters, it got Record.
Never knew it was possible to get a remainder from the higher end groupset in the past, in the newer groupsets.
It could be one of the reasons why Campagnolo never put their group names on the parts until 1994, haha.
