  • Interesting concept. I could see it catching on in 'cross where there's the need for low pressures but also the issues of burping and damaging rims with relatively low volume tyres and narrow rims. Only (apparent) disadvantage would be the additional weight.

    And horrendous expense. But I guess it would be cheaper than cracking a rim or busting a tyre in the long run - maybe.

    I wonder if some kind of foam / rubber rim strip thing could do the same job, but cost less and not be thrown away with the tyre.

    ahh yeah. I only read the marketing spiel. 200 grams of extra rotating weight per wheel is probably enough to limit interest from anyone racing both down and up hill too.

    On the topic, does anyone produce adapters for tubeless valves for offset rims?
