It would be interesting to see if it CXers do try them out and see what the results are but it will mean a specific road/CX Procore system for narrower rims, I think. Apparently Schwalbe says that a minimum 23mm wide internal rim diameter is needed for the Procore system to work properly in this iteration so is confined to MTB. Even a HED Belgium 25+ only has an internal width of 21mm.
It will be interesting to see if Schwalbe develop road and CX Procore.
EDIT: Plus minimum tyre width has to be 2.25, so...
Interesting concept. I could see it catching on in 'cross where there's the need for low pressures but also the issues of burping and damaging rims with relatively low volume tyres and narrow rims. Only (apparent) disadvantage would be the additional weight.
