• #254
yup Coventry has definitely turned into the mountain bike capital of the west Midlands. Guess I'm gonna have to stick to my weekend cycles in London

Coventry has definitely turned into the mountain bike capital of the west Midlands
Thought that was Cannock?
-
• #256
Haha true enough they have their cannock Chase but most riders don't live there. we unfortunately drew probably the shortest of the shortest straws for that
-
• #257
If it was Northumberland it would be Chevy Chase.

Shouts out to the guy with the forest green leader 725 I passed racing to lectures on campus...restoring my faith that Fixed Gear in Coventry isn't dead.

HAHA just seen that same black fixie with brown tape and charge saddle. Good to know its alive and well a year later
-
• #260
Nice one!
I have had mine for 10 years now, although it was converted to fixed around 5 years ago.

I tried my hand at converting an old Raleigh 5 speed racer last week for a friend who destroyed the gearing, between trying to get the chain tension right on the rear dropouts and spoking the rear wheel I gave up.
Conversions are beauts though, bringing old gals to life

Fixed gear certainly isn't dead , maybe dying but there is a few of us left.
-
• #263
I saw this today, looks familiar, probably saw it s few times. -
• #264
Completely agree, I ride a converted Raleigh Routier.
I just wish I had more free time (and money) to restore the bike frames sitting in my garage!
-
• #265
Saw this weeks ago, didn't get around to adding at the time. -
• #266
Haha sounds like you got yourself a future gold mine , the country needs more classics 😉 haha they remind us that soul can't be swapped out for weight reduction

18 days ago? Damn. Nuneaton/Bedworth scene is being held down by me and my six pals.

Nuneaton/Bedworth scene
Sweet, nice riding in the lanes out towards Market Bosworth from there.
-
• #269
I saw this last night outside Wilkinsons.
-
• #270
I saw this in the upper precinct today...or last night now. -
• #271
Technically I wouldn't call these a 'spot'. You can get that type of shit from Argos or Tescos these days. There's little thought or effort gone into it.

How not to fixie.

May be a poor person's pride and joy that they saved hard for.
