Ok, so I finally got round to plotting some routes... and I cannot figure out how this works. What course code should I be putting in? I've tried variations of (for example) "E1/10a E 4.8 518369 518369 Wendens Ambo/ Quentin", mainly on the "grid references" (which google doesn't seem to recognise unless the course starts in Singapore).
Any tips?

I'm looking for some clip aero bars that have a clamp of about 15mm - I've got some road bars that flatten. Anybody know a set?

Just search for the CTT course code (ie E1/10a), usually someone will have plotted it on Strava: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=E1/10a&gbv=1&sei=eLB1VtD-KcitU9CYjLAL

You certainly will - did the H10/8 today which was alright but I need to step up a few watts next week!

@Pifko @Scilly.Suffolk thanks for the help - transpires that the E10/10 one shares a name with an insurance company or something so google doesn't like it. Plotted a few into my garmin now!

Who's out testing tomorrow? Our club has a 9.6 mile sporting TT, i'm going to ride out to it and take part on my road bike, it'll be a nice 35 mile round trip to blow the cobwebs out. Quietly hoping to secure the first piece of silverware for next year.

More 'riding around' than testing, H10/2 from 10:30

What overshoes?

New Castelli Nanos - they've changed the design a bit so there isn't a lip around the ankle for the coating to peel off (which is what happened to my old ones)

No show!
I know :(
My partner gave me 'the look' when I reminded her I'd be leaving her on her own with 2 ill and sleep deprived children while I was to go out and enjoy myself. No balls. Bloody kids.

A New Year Message
Just to let you know I'm still around, even though I haven't posted here recently.
The last quarter of 2015 has been an unexpectedly busy time for me, and this has taken my attention away from cycle sport. Paradoxically I did manage to dust off my racing shoes and compete in October, even winning a very minor prize (although this was mainly down to having a good pacer).
However, I still have enthusiasm and I hope to be active in 2016 - probably mainly as a reporter. I have just acquired a better camera which I hope will improve the quality of my pictures.
As you probably know, I believe that time trialling has suffered badly in recent years from a general lack of coverage in the media, most notably in Cycling Weekly, and I think that it's our responsibility to try to put this to rights. We have the opportunity today to do this through internet magazines like British Cycle Sport and Velo UK, which are pleased to receive free content: it's up to us, individuals who want to see time trialling survive and prosper, to supply the content by reporting events with which we are involved.
I have been working away at this for nearly two decades - although I hadn't got much idea what I was doing for the first few years. I have no immediate plans to give up, but I have now reached an age at which it's unlikely I can continue into the distant future and so I would like to pass on any knowledge that I have acquired to younger people who can carry the torch for a few more years.
So, if anyone's interested send me a pm.
Meanwhile, I wish success to all of you who intend to compete in 2016.
Chris.

Not sure how much reporting I'll be doing, but interested to hear your findings Chris. Trust you'll be at the Hounslow 100 again this year?

Was it gusty round your way today? I was glad to be on the road bike when the gusts hit, i struggle with windy downhills on my fixed tt machine, would most likely have been ay a snail's pace today.

It's alright, it was a bit grim!

It was mad windy - I spent a large proportion of the first half all over the place, was running a HED Stinger 7 which is 75mm deep. The way back was much better, cross tail. 108" for 22:43 which is slow for me on there but I was very happy with the ride, miles better than H10/8 last week :)

Great work, sounds terrifying.
It's just like Christmas!
