Some good old DIY painting forks today.
Starting with a carbon Time fork. These are the first steps of making a matching ahead fork for my Trek 2300 pro frame http://i.imgur.com/wn7O0LK.jpg. End result wil be fluo yellow with black splatter.
Gonna mask the silver bits to end up with silver coloured Time logos.

I've been doing some "painting" myself recently. This is my daily bike... I decided to sand it about 18 months ago, but I broke my collarbone the next day and never bothered finishing it. Still can't be arsed to finish sanding it, but I did take everything apart, spray it with glitter varnish, then clearcoat it a few times. Looks a bit daft, but I do enjoy having a bike that I can do this kind of thing to:
I also cleaned and regreased everything (well almost), bought stainless steel cages, fancy new mudguards, brake blocks, cables, chain, cassette, chainrings and new bar tape so it feels spanking now!

@ghostface - haha, I take that as a compliment! ;-)
Normally this one is a "keeper" but that's something I'm only sure after having ridden it in a in a decent way (being: uphill is this is said to be a "mountain bike" because of it's short stays and short top tube)

Nice! Is there a tutorial somewhere? I have a flite that needs recovering.. ;)

Looks quite good job! My first was also flite. :)
But amount of glue is crazy! I bet it took ages for all that to set. It will be nightmare if you ever decide to recover it again. -

Jups! They are lovely but ride a bit like peanutbutter as I said (we call those "peperkoek" bikes..) Never rode a MTB though. But then again, they look beautiful

the adventure frame was a bit of luck
located in Italy, was on the bay, gave a best offer of nearly a 3rd off b.i.n price, and
i was accepted
originally, gruppo was going on this
but after burning the stuck post out
the paint went around the region , so needs a spray and new decals, the adventure is about
the same cost, so plumbed for that -
