Is the Ultegra that far superior? I thought it was pretty much on a par with the SRAM? My road research might not have been up to scratch!
And yeah, they seem to give the best specs for the price across the board. I was initially looking at Giant Propels at a local shop, and they're just blatantly inferior for the same price!

Shimano = better
Sram = lighterIts all personal pref tbh. Hood shape and interface will play a big part. They are at par otherwise. I have both, I like both.

I don't know how 'far' superior it is but I would still say it's superior. I've had both and I think Ultegra is much better. I never really got on with double tap I have to say. I guess these sort of things come down to feel and shape as mentioned above.

I think mainly because of the superior wheels and groupset. Also, imo it does looks really cool. You're getting quite a lot for the money there. I've read about people having bad experiences with their customer service, but I found them to be really good. They even managed to deliver about a month earlier than initially suggested.
