  • Any particular reasons for the CF @jakemcree @amey ?

Or was my, "it just looks really cool" argument that strong?

Not fussed about delivery times at all, as I'm in no rush, but thanks for the heads up anyway. I though they were quite good for customer service from all of @HoKe 's various dilemmas, or did I get the wrong end of the stick?

  • Well they have a great product at a great price which has resulted in more demand than supply (cycling is the new gold etc.) so when I say customer service is bad I mean the lead times keep changing, they are not quick to respond etc.

Why CF? Because of your purpose and it rides nicer then al. I had Ultimate AL and loved that bike but carbon as a material wins for me. Ultimate AL is the closest you can go to carbon. If I can just have one road bike it will be carbon. Plus I think the CF aero is better value. Aerodynamics of Mavic V section wheels is not on trend but its a great deal. It used to be under the sponsoring deal and even cheaper with a BC license: https://www.canyon.com/service/sponsoring/ That page seems to be dead for UK but you can ask.

  • I think mainly because of the superior wheels and groupset. Also, imo it does looks really cool. You're getting quite a lot for the money there. I've read about people having bad experiences with their customer service, but I found them to be really good. They even managed to deliver about a month earlier than initially suggested.
