You could try to use a front disc wheel as a rear too. Just replace the axle with a solid one and put washers on sides. A front XT756 disc hub can take 10mm axle.

A few pieces arrived today (many many more to come) from my cheap ebay scavenge:
- Disc pads
- V-Brake for rear (shimano acera cheap and reliable)
- Shimano freewheel (only used WI before, bit cautious)

Final two parcels arrived, cheap Chinese carbon bars and cheap Chinese ergo style grips, here is the cockpit:
Bike should be up and running next week after I replace the 13 broken spokes in the rear wheel (bike polo...)

What hub did you use?
Brompton freehubs (for the 2 or 6 speed models) are 110 oln

In the back I used (and have been for years) standard 120mm hub. No disc though.

Hey guys, after serving me well for over two years I've left my old Velvet/Victoire bike polo frame and forks sitting around doing nothing for 6 months. I've sparked up some enthusiasm to build it into a solid commuter. Would be nice to document the process:

The idea is to go front disc with rear v, down to the fact that originally this frame was 110 spaced for no apparent reason so fitting a disc brake in there may be an issue (although i've never tried). Ex-polo frames are great, if only they had rack mounts...
