  • What's the best bike route mapper these days? I'm thinking about a point to point record next year and want to plot the best route (no, not lejog, that can get fucked). RideWithGPS or BikeRouteToaster or something else?

  • When I was doing some comparisons of bike routing options for work, we concluded that Strava was probably the easiest to use and also came up with good routes. Not sure how good it'll be on fastest, it tends to route you off dual carriageways whenever possible.

  • Until they don't use Google Maps anymore, which is a bit annoying.

    It was useful being able to use Streetview to see what the route look like.

    I ended up using RideWithGPS. It basically did what I wanted pretty simply. I even managed to edit a course within minutes without destroying the whole route like the Garmin software does.
