  • they've had foreign managers in before who are all about the pretty football, Martinez, Sousa, Laudrup, he's older sure, but Jenkins has taken a punt on managers who have been a bit of a punt before.
If the media reports are correct (and I@m not saying they are) right now it's all about keeping Swansea in the PL for the next big round of TV Money. Bielsa and new manager bounce might be the trick to doing that..

  • Can you imagine if it were liverpool in this position?! Christ you'd all be doing the fuckin conga!!

We are all doing the fuckin' conga.

  • The Premier League is putting up a pretty good fight, but things are still interesting in be Championship this year, and three are the forum teams are still there.

@roboto @Ramsaye @dst Where will you be at the end? If you don't go up, will you at least finish above Villa and Chelsea next year?

@lederhosen been to many games this year?

Personally I didn't expect Ipswich to be sixth at this stage, especially after the shocking game I saw at Reading.

We've got Burnley and Brighton coming up, so I don't think we'll still be there at the start of the new year. But I'll enjoy it while it's happening.

  • We (Burnley) are starting to tail off at the moment. There's starting to be a bit of negativity towards Dyche and his refusal to change the team even though performances aren't great.

We're not losing many games but we're not creating many chances and, apart from Gray, players are struggling to score. Too many draws is seeing us starting to lose touch.

  • Just seen SAF in the Bluebird Cafe

  • Do they serve his wine in there?

Ah the emptiness of gooner smug. First round knockout awaits....again.

  • First round knockout awaits....again.

Probably, but you got to get into the knockout stages to get knocked out. We're off to Barcelona while you had to google who the fuck you will playing in that waste of time competition.

  • Did lol at this 'Aston Villa's new manager Remi Garde is prepared to sell striker Gabriel Agbonlahor to raise transfer funds in January.'
Can you go player shopping with negative funds?

I'm not holding out much hope that there'll be a queue at the Villa Park door.

  • Unfortunately, in the past he's the kind of player that we've gone for during the festive period

  • Perhaps he can go to City?

Seriously: are you this boring in real life?

  • Or maybe I should be doing this:

    Am I doing it rite?

  • Seriously: are you this boring in real life?

Come along on Friday and you can find out.

  • More yellow cards than goals for the last 3 seasons. >>>>>>>>>>>

  • In the past, I can almost guarantee that we'd have made an offer for him.

  • @cornelius_blackfoot wondered if you'd read this nice little article on Clement yet?

    http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/dec/16/derby-county-paul-clement-carlo-ancelotti?CMP=share_btn_tw

If we get promoted don't be too surprised to see Zlatan in a Derby shirt next season (taps pisti's nose etc.). I'm pretty sure he won't want to play in the championship for Chelsea...

  • I have, interesting read, especially as you're on a good run.
Was going to post up but thought I'd let one of you Rams fans get the honour.

Did like the bit where he talks about top top top players still needing to be excited and challenged by training, which meant giving them less space and time.

  • Dunno how we won that but Everton v Daggers is happening. Bring out all the FA Cup third round cliches.

  • ouch but true!
Got a lot of time for Clement he did a good job at chelsea and seeing him grow under Ancelotti has been great, I hope he continues to do a great job. Haven't seen Derby play this season are the fans happy with the way he sets up the team style of play ?

  • I think boro have a good chance of finishing in the top 2. We are rotating a lot and have a solid defence. Other teams are more exciting than us but the are just flash fuckers. With this boro squad there is always the feeling that our goals could just dry up.

  • And Everton showed us what it will be like playing against average prem teams if we do go up when they gave us a kicking in the league cup

  • What's Albert Adomah like? He looked great against us last year, is that consistent?

  • He had a slow start, trying to find the right team and system with what he inherited and he essentially went back to the similar personnel and formation that McClaren used. It wasn't until the signings of Butterfield and Johnson for a combined £10m that our results started to pick up. The owner clearly has a lot of faith in him by letting go of the purse strings and it is showing signs of paying off.

We tend to start off in a cautious way to see how the opposition set up against us and then make some small changes if needed after the break. This approach is different to the gung ho schteve approach and is probably the reason we have a much better defensive record this season (2nd tightest defence) while still being top goalscorers. Although that stat was helped by a 4-0 score line on Tuesday when Clement changed his formation and line up considerably to shake things up as there were signs that we'd become predictable.

I've got a feeling it will be us and Boro in the automatic places this season, but after the last two seasons I'm not going to get my hopes up too much. I don't think Brighton have the squad depth to continue how they are and Solly March is out for the season now which is a huge blow for them. Hull will be up there, but I can't say I was impressed with them when we played them. I thought Burnley would be challenging more, but they've also dropped off a little, then there's already a decent gap forming below that line with Ipswich currently leading the rest.
