Can I just cut back to the CSL chat, IMO, only posers and car magazine disciples buy an E46 CSL, the SMG box is cack and totally doesn't warrant the ridiculous price versus a very nicely kept, manual E46 M3.

I'd take the difference between the M3 and CSL, refit the interior of the M3 with swathes of alacantara and bucket seats, pocket the leftover cash for a bunch of trackdays, and have a slightly poorer man's 911 GT3
