  • Actually pretty annoyed how you handled this, a quick PM to notify me about this instead of posting it on my thread would have been a better response.

My eBay sales have absolutely nothing to do with my paint business.

Sometimes an explanation is needed, here's mine..

. This year I listed 4 items on eBay at the same time, all of them went out with Parcel Force and all 4 got lost. These were my personal bikes which I had to refund the buyer and I didn't get a refund from Parcel Force as the driver didn't put the labels on, so the parcels were technically never in the system. You guessed it, buyers left negative feedback.

. I recently made a mistake of selling a set of wheels on eBay I'd sold at a cycle jumble. You guessed it, negative feedback.

. I recently made the mistake of viewing someone's feedback on my iPad, it showed only their negative feedback and I wasn't happy sending my frame out. @MC this was you, I really do apologise. I'm fairly sure I've sold that frame-set (will check) but in the next few months I'm going to be brining a load of similar Eddy Merckx frames over from Italy, if there's one your size I'd be happy to drop it through the post, for free. Apologies.

I also feel like I need to tip the scales..

I've been dealing with vintage bikes, paint-work and everything in-between since 2012. I've sold thousands and thousands of parts and painted just as many bikes, a lot of the bikes painted are for small, independent frame-builders, many of them I've offered free custom paint-work for their show bikes and I know for a fact they've taken in more business recently.

I've also used this forum for a lot of services. Frame builders, graphic designers, photographers, web designers, architects. I went out of my way to use other forum users as I believe you get out what you put in. I've got multiple build threads going way back to before I even had a business. I spend hours and hours a day on this forum because I enjoy anything cycling based and I try to support as many businesses in the cycling world so my passion can stay alive!
I've also put forum users in touch with people I know and they've received full time jobs because of it, again in the cycling industry.

I'd like to think of myself as a member of this community, working with everyone rather than against them. If you've dealt with me and for whatever reason are not happy, please feel free to get in touch so I can make it right. I'm human, I make mistakes sadly, but happy to sort them.

  • That's all very well and good, but 3 people, on one forum, on one thread, on one day... All with bad reports, would hardly call that coincidence.

Based on the content of these posts, why would I expect PM'ing you would make a difference?

Different business/nothing to do with no quarter - not subscribing to that, eBay buyers are doing business directly with you, as are nq customers.

It is good of you to offer a frame in compensation, whether you would have done that if I hadn't called you out, who knows. Seems the buyer already tried to contact you.
