  • I've gone mad and need to fund something irrational that I can't possibly maintain, but hey ho.

Here be an exceptionally nice COOKIE frame in 653 with Cinelli lugs (all?) and Columbus Dropouts in 55 square and 126OLD. It really is superb. The paint has seen better days that's for sure, but It would be sacrilege to repaint it. I was thinking of treating it then a layer of lacquer to keep it going. No, I have no idea who the builder is, very little info about it, but it's shit hot quality.
It's actually a forum bike from a while back. No dents/dings or any such.
Why sell? 1. Too many goddamned bikes 2. It's annoyingly too big. I'd need a 50mm stem to feel right on this.
Comes with SystemX 100mm stem, post and a Campag headset.
This steed, from the very short and uncomfortable ride I experienced on it was amazing. I now seek to jump from alloy back to steel in the future

£150 and picked up from the Fitzrovia area

With a full set of images here

  • Cookie's a little sweetie!

  • Ain't it just! If the Biomed was here, I'd keep it and mutate my arms to be longer.

  • it's shit hot quality

    Innit!

Just look at dat ass and the seat stay cluster is a peach too.

£150 for 653 seems cheap to me.

Obligatory "too small for me, but GLWS".

  • Right - who else has owned Cookie?

  • Thank you muchly. I was close to slapping it up on evilbay, but it just felt wrong to remove it away from the forum. I just want it to go to a good home, so just priced to see it off happy.

    @b&d let's drag some history

Ok, so it originally came from VL apparently, who I presume it might be V-L, who sold it to @chokalateboywonder, who had it setup as such

After that, it went to @primitive_robot
Then it went to my brother, who built it up as a rolling abomination.
I got a hold of it when my brother moved abroad, and had it built up as it's meant to be.

Best I got out of it was out of the saddle, where it was a proper whippet. It just felt so planted and I imagine It made my hideously awkward figure look radiant on a bike for a change.

  • still available?

  • Is it available, second dibs?

  • Am i going crazy here or can I not see the size? 55cm ctc?

  • fond memories of the cookie ,@primitive_robot hassled me for ages and I caved in .
it was to small tbh.very tight clearances made it a joy to ride .I think its 55 ctc @Bike_bean

  • @ferriswheeler @Cacofonix Someone PM'd just ahead of you guys, so I'll give you a shout on here of any developments
    @Bike_bean it is 55ctc indeed.
@chokalateboywonder It's such a frikking awesome frame. Part of me doesn't really want to sell it because of how great it was to ride, but it'll just end up as a pretty object not being used. Can't have that.

  • Still for sale

  • Do want.

  • Drool.

  • Ho Yo glorious tribe of LFGSS. Due to a pretty shitty situation (get well dude) this is back up for sale.
Collection only from the Fitzrovia area.

  • Yes awful situ at mine, i hurt a tendon might be better soon!

I'm missing out I know, collection is the problem. Cannot walk!

    GLWS

  • What the hell going on with the seat stay? two bolts?

  • Hi there,
What tyres is it photographed with there please? Will it take 25cs?
    Thanks

  • Hope you're getting better mate. Just gone and got my wrist annihilated in Surry last weekend.

@edscoble Yeah man, I think more aesthetic than functional as the stays are brazed too. Only ever cleaned around them with a toothbrush though.

  • there are times when i look at frames and i think i wish i lived nearer to the smoke , seeing as no postage offered

  • Another asking about tyre clearance, room for 25s?

  • The Gatorskins on the fixed setup above look like 28 (I think), so you should be fine.

  • Whoaaa, totally didn't expect this level of interest. The frame has unfortunately now been sold pending pick up by the awesome @Agustin, who has a damn fine taste in metal. It really is a lovely frame and damned that I'm selling it, but bikes are meant to be ridden and so it must move.

  • OK, good thing probably. Two new bikes in a month would be pushing my luck. Can I have first refusal if he drops out?
