So, i like the fitting with the 90mm stem. Will change back to a longer model when i change the bars. But for now its good.
On the weekend i take some photos. Want to chop the steere a little bit more down.

So ordered some Soma HWY 1 bars today. Let's see how this fit...
After some kilometers on the serotta i really, really begin to love this bike! What i miss is a compact crankset for climbing compared to my other bikes. I am a more spinning than a power guy. Have to see if this will be an worthy update!

The HWY 1 is a nice fit, short enough reach to allow a longer stem if necessary, and a lovely bend that's comfortable enough to stay in the drop all day.
Is there's a reason why you're limited to 26mm clamp? as there are some bar with a 70mm reach (125mm drop) that'll removed 15mm reach.

I already have 2 of those syntgace stems for 26mm. Also i quite like the look in combination with a classic steel frame. The 75mm reach of the Soma bars should be perfect.

Curent setup (sorry for the super cross chain):
Pretty dialed in after a few hundred kilometers. Function over look. But i am always into tips for some nice modification.

Would it be a shame to repaint the serotta? :|
Red and Yellow truly arent my favorite colours...

Sell it, buy another bike.

No option - it took a long time to find a serotta in my size. Also i love the ride quality and the frame itself (the tubing, dropouts etc.)
Another thought was to change the fork for a columbus minimal - think it would fit the bike better?!

Nice build indeed! - check out my serotta ti in current projects. It has minimals so should give you an idea on the look.

Did a photoshop mockup with Columbus minimal forks. I think it looks better.

I quite like the current fork

The curved look compliment it really nicely, it is a personal thing after all.

Yeah minimal looks good I think

I don't like red and yellow bikes but like yours, i think your stem is a bit ugly and out of place, and also your bars/levers are in a funny position. Is the stem too long? Would it look better with a more delicate silver stem and a silver post to compliment the gruppo?
Also, the minimals definitely look more at home. Reynolds ouzo would suit it too. It 1" alpina road.

You know the weight?
The Handlebars are Bontrager SSR VRC. The bars have 85mm reach (quite long for a compact bar compared to others). Thats 5mm more than the bars on my other bike + 5mm longer stem + 5mm longer TT = 1,5cm more stretch.
First i willy try the 90mm stem (generally dont like stems under 100mm). Dont know if the bar comes to close (knee hitting the bar when off the saddle).
The other option is a bar with 70-80mm reach. (Procraft Road Pro compact also comes in 26mm clamp)
