Have been absolutely loving my PL50 but sadly the audiologist has scared me off using them. I've had hearing problems since I was a kid but I haven't been for a hearing test in about 20 years. To preserve what's left of my hearing in my left ear, the audiologist said don't use in ear headphones any more.
Guess I'll have to buy some HD25s!

Oh god this.
Best money I've ever spent. I want the concorde ones...

That's a real shame! Glad you were enjoying them though. Does the doc think they've contributed to the problem at all?

I bought my fiancee a set last xmas and they are wonderful, but I do wonder when I'll ever use them if I buy some too. I mostly use headphones for cycling with, but I can't cycle with HD25s on, so they'd basically only be for public transport usage.

Not specifically those headphones, but the audiologist did say in ear headphones are not good if you already have hearing issues. I don't know if there's any research been done into it, but I do know that I listen to music much louder than other people, because of my hearing problems, so I've definitely exacerbated it through my own actions.

Good in-ear, ear loop sports headphones anyone? Don't want to pay silly money though Bluetooth is a possibility.

Depending on your definition of good
I'll be listening to Ogg Vorbis so that'll give you an idea of definition of 'good' I'm looking for.

compressed music and considering bluetooth for use during sports... cheap is the answer!
I have a set of these for running:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mpow-Bluetooth-Earphones-Headphones-Hands-free/dp/B00W6VS9CM/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1449229306&sr=8-14&keywords=bluetooth+headsets+sportsWork well enough, stay in and sound OK for short periods. Slight crackling when you receve a text or msg on the phone but could just be my handset.

I recently got some Sony MDR-EX650, they sound really nice. Way better than the Sennheiser cx300's I had before, and the build quality is so much better too.

Is that a known thing? I couldn't find anything decisive online about faults with them.

Managed to tuck my klipsch X10's into my shoe and crush them and rip the wires out. Happened halfway through a 8 hour flight too. Bugger.
But, rather than go and buy them again I'm looking at the RHA T20 - wondering if anyone has experience with them or could recommend something within that price range. Max £200.
Must be in-ears and I prefer neutral sound, erring on the side of warmth and nice fast controlled bass. Don't like flab and don't like overly bright treble or sibilance. Good midrange and vocals is a plus.

I've recently bought a pair of Shure SE425s and really like them. I had some Ultimate Ears with a dying left side, and these are much better.
I favoured them over others I looked at as they have replaceable cables, but never tried anything by RHA.

Cool, will have a read.
Other thing caught my eye was the Soundmagic PL50 - seem like pretty good bang for the buck.
Just got some new earbuds. mdr ex650s.
They sound kinda muddy which is totally contrary to the reviews which said they'd be too bright if anything...
Is burn-in actually a thing or is it a Freud thing?
