  • Tell those fenders to let your eye go, they're evil and ugly.

  • YOU'RE evil and ugly!

...or possibly right. It's just that their particular brand of ugliness would match up well with my MTB. Thanks for the various tips, will check them out.

  • I'll make do with yellow.

    Cheers for the link

  • I too fitted an SKS Longboard 35 (to my front wheel) and it keeps picking up leaves and twigs (some of them thorned).

  • Make sure that the bottom of the fender is a little closer to the tire than the exit point, this will help to eject any detritus that enters.

  • I have the same problem. Dry feet yes, but the mudflap is like a shovel. I'll DIY something next winter if I keep the same mudguard

  • SKS chromoplastic 50mm 700c work perfect on 650b 42c tyre with lots of room.

  • when cut up, an empty toilet bleach bottle has been found to be an ideal mudflap and bb/chainset protector

oh, and blackburn cloudburst - crap to fit and too short at the rear

  • Seatpost says hi.

  • What's the best full mudguard for 650b x 35c tyres?

Clearance isn't really a problem as the straggler seems to have plenty.

  • 700c 45mm longboard should be ok.

Doesn't the Straggler have ample room? why not go larger?

  • Cheers, no reason really, got a good deal on some 35, may go larger some other time.

  • In that case, get those M:Part 26" 60mm mudguard that'll leave room for expansion in future.

  • got a good deal on some 35

    kojak?

  • Once I can get these bastard useless SKS bolts that corroded into cottage cheese out my frame, what corrosion resistant materials should their replacements be made of ? Steel frame

  • You just need to whip them out once a winter and re-cover them once in grease

  • I put an allen key in it and it just rounded out instantly. Chainstay bridge bolt obv gets the worst abuse.

  • what are the options available for a black mudguard set that fits 35mm tyres for a bike with no eyelets

  • Made myself a rear flap

Quite enough orange on the Pearson now I think

  • Picture not working...

    Edit... Now it is...

  • Good call, need to extend my front flap a lots more;

  • Re routed the stays on the front guard on my Pompino to the midblade eyelet as I've fitted the Blackburn rack to that bike and putting the rack and guards on the same eyelet didn't seem to be working. Also took the time to attach a flap, should have done this ages ago...

  • Anyone have a rear sk

lines starting with a 'greater than' denote quoted text

s or similar mudguard in the spare bin?

I've got a front. Could do with a rear that'll take up to 28c please. Black would be nice not to fussy really.

  • I've a spare kicking around. SKS blumel, black, 35mm width. Not sure if I have stays, though.

  • Nice reflection of the compost bin in your Conti.
