Rossin Futura Pista Pursuit

I've re-read the thread and am pretty sure I haven't. It looks like you're just trying to tell someone that they have countfeit or unauthentically modified products based on nothing but some other Rossin forks you've seen previously?

Anyway, I'm not really interested in that. Jos, the frame looks banging and I look forward to seeing it being built up!

@monoglaze you can be sceptic about things but stating facts with (arguably) not enough first hand knowledge is naive.

Prototypes, unique pieces, that's what we're dealing with here. These bikes were made with pride but also with a very pragmatic mindset. Mechanics dealing with half an idea from their boss trying to make it work, deadline stress etc. Oursourcing....

Anyway prototypes can be very weird and rough around the edges :) Half their appeal imo.

Yes, I think some police experts base their opinions of forged banknotes by comparison with examples of known-genuine currency -it's a recognised technique. Rossin never made poorly executed and Welded fork attachments period.
It is important, in my opinion, that rare and interesting bikes and parts are not adulterated. Alright any owner has the right to cut his Cinelli Laser in half if he wants to but altering items and passing-off as original (if such is the case) will do nothing to enrich the World of bicycle collecting.
I know Rossin produced various styles of fork mounts for bars but none I have seen is a welded tube construction with 2 bolts and poorly executed at that.
But to each his own.

I basically agree with you. That said, did you see the image that @Breso posted? Yes, it looks like a Max fork and there is clearly brazing but it's not hard to imagine the two coming from the same workshop.

That's good to know that any poorly made differant item becomes something rather special & turns into a prototype, so now I've been educated I know what to look out for 😃

That's not my point. My point is that you can't know for sure it isn't a Rossin original fork or not. Unless you know a guy, with good memory, who worked in their workshop.

@Monoglaze could you stop trolling my topic if you do not have anything other to say. Both forks are from rossin factory. The performance EL is nos and was found from a bike company storage. The columbus SL fork was delivered with a frame for 200cm / around 100kg rider so they might have done it stronger from request or something. All I know is that BOTH FORKS ARE FROM ROSSIN FACTORY

I am not selling the frame, I am not selling the fork. I got the fork last summer from the guys stash and got the frame lately just for these forks as this is the frame model that was originally paired with the fork. You can probably see the huge amount of steerer tube on the fork as it was made for large person with much more weight than the usual bike rider so that might be an explanation for welding instead of fillet brazing.

Don't you guys think that if I wanted to fake the fork, I could just pay couple hundred euros for local frame maker and had it done to similar looks than the ussr pursuit forks? ;) Why would I ruin original rossin forks with worse design? Have you seen this btw?

I guess I'd update something to this topic. I think I may have found original ussr team pursuit fork. I just wanted to share though that rossin actually has welded those fork clamps as is on the performance el pursuit case as this pic proves
