Hey everyone,
This is my first post on here. I was wondering if anybody could tell me where you can find the frame number on a Gios Super Record (if it has one) ? There are two numbers stamped on the BB shell, but guessing this is the frame size.

Gios Evolution Team Benetton Edition 60cm x 57cm
Late 80s/early 90s
Originally 126mm rear, re-spaced to 130.
9 speed Chorus and Record Group
I have the orginal forks but i tried the carbon ones and the ride was great... so now the steel ones sit on the shelf.... for now... -

Put on the steel ones! They're more in balance with the frames tube dimensions. I've been building up my classic "Gios blue" Evolution with modern parts and it's great but you just have to keep the chromed (?) forks.

I can see the photo in my inbox notification but not here.
Looks great this way. Good job!
I slightly changed mine today: removed the Sram parts and putted a "cheap" Veloce on it (needed the Sram for a very recently acquired -an pretty light- Ciöcc frameset I want to build a light bike with). For this Gios I'm waiting for a Deda Magic "team Gios" stem to come instead of the S-Works. Pictures will follow.

Finished the Compact Pro Evolution at last. Decided not to put modern parts on it but build it periode correct. Have to buy some Veloflax Masters for the final touch:

Hello, finally I have finished my Gios Torino SR 2. Size marked on BB is 62 which in fact is the size measured center to top end. It took one and a half year but unless you have $$$, patience is necessary. More pictures soon.

That's such a nice build, would look better with gum hoods, but I'm just nit picking. What rims are did you use?

These are Mavic Open SUP CD clincher rims with Veloflex Master tyres.

I picked up a Compact Pro last week and got it on the road today. Still very much a messy mix of parts but I'm slowly switching out what it came with for Record. Started with the low hanging fruit, the brakes and cranks have been switched in.
Gonna now ride it a little before deciding on which route to take next - the main sticking point is this non-Gios fork.
Do I try and get the original fork first (Gios Team fork I believe is the one I'm looking for) then switch the cockpit entirely before switching the drive train over to Record?
Or I could just chop down the current fork to a sensible length immediately, put a nicer bar/stem combination (thinking -17 degree nitto stem to Deda Piega) and then do the switch to Record straight away.
Or alternately get a Mizuno Gios carbon fork. Not entirely sold on that last option but it could look ok with some matching carbon rims, rear derailleurs and shifters, that would be the most bling setup.
Where would be my best bet for a new Gios fork, contact giostorina.it, or try to find a shop able to get stuff from one of the gios.it distributors?
