By the particular, do you mean this thread? Looking back at this answer, you're right, I dont understand what your point is.
Do you think the conversation that has been taking place over the last few pages has nothing at all to do with how people feel about having less money than others?
In the particular, not until your post.

The Wood Green police shooting may be part of the struggle between the Tottenham and Hackney Turks who control heroin, there's already been ten murders:
Sometimes innocent people, these twats are driving round in pimped Range Rovers spraying bullets, they killed the shopkeeper on Hornsey Road in 2009.

The completely innocent shopkeeper.

And it's parked in a red route.

Must have been his missus driving, all the holes are on the passenger side. Unless they got him through the side window and they're exit holes

And it's parked in a red route
Ha!

Printing money causes inflation.
Only if the amount printed exceeds the economy's capacity to meet the demand generated by more money. Where this has happened over the past 30 years is in the housing market - banks have 'printed money' in the form of mortgage lending (they don't actually lend against deposits). The result has been the rampant inflation of house prices.

Nope, blood's on driver's seat. Shot through windscreen at an angle from the near side.
-
• #38560
Oh yeah, so the shooter is in a line of the victim and the door pillar. Cornered. The shots must have come from a tall man on the motorbike unless it was two dwarves in a long coat.

Mmmm, I think we'll have this solved by bedtime. Pity we're not as good at economics.
That doesn't mean we can start that again by the way. -

We got them for stopping in a red zone, let's leave it at that and fuck off for drinks.

I really want to talk to my company's team covering COP to see if they think this a good deal or not, but fingers crossed the world just did something grown up and sensible. (/energy journalist disclaimer)

Finally, someone in the US speaks up for the poor, threatened minority who live in constant fear.
-
• #38568
I can't stand listening to him speak. Most of the time he doesn't actually make any sense either.

Random Twitter post I saw "Whether Donald Trump is or is not a Nazi doesn't matter - he has the Nazi vote"

He is a terrible cunt but I think we are missing the point here.
Isn't he just a pacemaker of sorts?
At first I thought he was there to make John Ellis Bush look intelligent and reasonable.
With that having failed somewhat, I think he might be here to usher in Republican presidential candidate Cruz.He can't actually win the nomination can he?
-
• #38571
I hope he does win, because that will get all the sensible murkins out come presidential election time and the world will get Hillary.

Hoverboards seem to be all over the news at the moment.
I always imagine this a bit like those videos of gulls walking into a shop and nicking something.

What low-life steals Lucozade? I dunno how they sleep at night.

He can't actually win the nomination can he?
Unlikely. He's like Farage over here. He appeals to the Right's instincts, but when they actually think about voting for him they realise he doesn't have broad enough appeal to actually win an election. If he was in France however...

Gideon's been at the microdots again:
You seem to have misunderstood what I mean by general vs particular. But that's fine.
