A further clue, the place is also home to one of Gormley's first permanent public commissions, back in the jittery early 80's.

Worked in the end! I was going to post the Paul Gough site too, it has some interesting back story about how much resistance there was in the early 80's to building the park, mostly concerned with the associations it had with the far Left. Some quotes from opposing councillors about the park and accompanying exhibition:
'Peace Parks are typically Eastern European Government intentions which do not serve the interests of true peace. Transplanting such an expensive gimmick to this country is to introduce an entirely alien and unhelpful concept. '
' A display of one-sided disarmament propaganda … peddling the discredited line advocated by communists, neutralists, pacifists and defeatists…’
Another vowed to destroy it if he ever came to power.
All that hostility for something celebrating peace!

Handy graphic from the Times. So assuming the City would be the first choice of anyone wanting to Nuke London, the current tag looks to be in the "safezone". Hackney will be saved too.
I'll try a new tag, an even safer one, this afternoon to move things along if no one else does.

No one really got to plot war here after all. Most use they ever got out these 40 rooms over two floors (underground) was for a Post Office social club. Must have been some wild parties those.

Good work, especially on a night like this! Nice picture too
Lovely picture and a great tag. I used to live nearby and never knew that was there. Shame on me.
