Designed by Mike Burrows at Lotus and made by Aerodyne Technology in Cape Town, this bicycle is famous for breaking the hour record ridden by Chris Boardman. This particular bicycle is one of fifteen ever made and has never been ridden.

    Spec as follows:

Full carbon monocoque Lotus design frame, fork and wheels.
    Hope first generation hubs.

    Cinelli handlebars and stem
    Shimano 105 headset
    Selle Bassano vuelta vintage saddle
    Mavic tubular tires
    Deda Elementi night handlebar tape

Has just had a full strip down service by Cyclefit in London with receipts.

Size is small fits like a 52/54cm bicycle, saddle height is not adjustable.

This is an expensive bike, therefore serious buyers only. For more details and pictures please dm me.

tell us a price fool ... didnt you learn from the last thread?

  • score 5

  • tell us a price fool

No need for name calling, and noting a price is advisory, though not a rule (although it's common courtesy and also belief it is).

    Edited for spelling.

  • ...although it's common curtesy...

As is not spamming the place and taking the time to check how things are done.

If they'd done this, they'd know that bumping a thread without a price drop or adding new information is not allowed, which is effectively what this second thread is.

I'm fed-up to the back teeth of people who sign-up to the forum solely to punt their shit for free and far from making some sort of contribution by way of sharing their experience or knowledge, don't even have the common fucking courtesy to determine and observe the house rules.

  • I agree, but this is obviously a fishing trip. Again.

  • If you delete prices you get banned obvs.

  • Not quoting a price for this does seem pretentious. Why not? Sure, it's a lot for a bike but cars have prices, so do houses. A price might tempt me..ahem.

  • Is it likely to come apart if I ride it?

  • If it's anything like my Lotus, the head gasket will shit itself on 40,000 miles 😩

  • Is it likely to come apart if I ride it?

If you are Dr Hutch then (based on all currently available evidence) 100% chance.

  • tea comes out of nose

    Ha!

  • how did you get the V2 hoods onto first generation ergos? :D

Those shifters look very uncomfortable to use.

  • The last one that went for sale on e-Bay in November 2015 was listed for £8,000 and DID NOT SELL even though that was a larger frame size. That price was for frame and fork.

Whatever the price sought for this one, I would guess that a buyer would be paying a fair price if the frame and fork were below £7k, the entire bike below £8.5k.

The size is kinda useless, it's definitely more a display piece than anything you'd ride and enjoy.

  • Yeah 😡 Right outside the dealership the morning I px'd it. The twat

  • Doesn't look like something I'd even want to stick on my wall.
    Mis-match of rubbish looking parts.
Mavic Yksion Pro Grip/Powerlink SSC Tubular Tyres >>>>>>

  • I don't think anyone would be buying this for the drivetrain.

  • I've heard 7spd campagshitlol is back en vogue....

  • ...it will be sideburns next
