MXF (either IMX50 for SD for or DNX XDCAM for HD).
Do you know, I used to use ffmpeg years ago for batch converting files and completely forgot about it. Didn't know it could handle LUFS stuff though which is nice. Never found it particularly user friendly though.
As it happens I ended up speaking to Iain from Emotion who very kindly talked me through the exact settings for Emotion File Finisher (eFF) which is absolutely fucking great. He was really helpful and I can't recommend the product enough. I'm on a 10 day trial but will definitely buy a copy. Once I'd gotten over the slight fiddle of figuring how to create my own profile it was a dream. I've submitted a test to the broadcaster who cleared it and the full files are all happily uploading as I type.
Anyone work in post production?
@bashthebox you might have an idea...
I have 5 commercials that have been delivered to me by an editor who has now buggered off. I've paid him but the files aren't quite to spec (they're not R128 compliant and have a loudness of -20.6LUFS instead of -23 -/+0.5).
I have access to the timelines in Premiere Pro and have tried using Loudness Radar to fix but with no success so far.
I've tried running through Adobe Audition but still export through Premiere which isn't working.
Lastly I've downloaded a bit of software called eFF which promises to do it but I can't figure out how to work it.
Anyone have any experience of it? There's no budget for another editor to fix the last one's mess so I suspect it'll be a valid walkthrough for Loudness Radar in Premiere, getting Audition to work (I followed a walkthrough on YouTube to the letter but still no joy) or eFF/other third party (free/trial) software.
Any help appreciated as I need these signed off by tomorrow evening.
