    If you don't like not knowing for sure whether you're in or not either contact the organiser or, next time, include a stamped/addressed postcard with your entry. The organiser will post that back to you to let you know that your entry is ok and you're in.

    Many organisers don't cash cheques until closer to the event (although the 6 month limit to bank a cheque stops most shenanigans).

    2016 is busy with other things. 2017 I've got LEL pencilled in so I might set aside 2018 to go back and redo some of my favourite rides (Dean and Severn Across, BCM, The Elenith, etc).

  • Cheers, very useful tip! Normally I wouldn't worry too much, but want to book a Travelodge and it is cheaper if you pay upfront (but non refundable).
