  • Thursday is cool ed thanks

  • I should be there by 6.30 too.

@Khornight2 if you are coming by for any reason could you bring the hockey tape plz?

  • Sending over a Doodle to work out availability - we will have to find a sub for Beagle is out of town until after the deadline. Anyone fancy it?

  • ill be there more like 7.30

  • Thanks to Beagletime for paying.

Joshville: Hold tight, because they never asked for the payment for Downs hire, so if I don't hear from them I'll use the cash as fee payment.

The rest of you: I'm starting to get annoyed. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

  • Westway v Power Plant

This was a fun fixture though suffered due to a very bobbly, slippery court (Newington) and occasional mega gusts of wind.

Power Plant started game 1 fluidly, passing the ball around well with Jono's quick, pinpoint passing continuously opening up Westway and proving especially important on such a small court. Westway were seemly looking to play on the break and Ed and Phil made some great saves in goal. However, despite the first 10 minutes being one way traffic, with Power Plant 4-0 up and pressing hard, Westway started to shake off the cobwebs and look a bit more threatening towards of the end of the game.

Game 2 was very different with Westway the better team for the first 5 minutes. Vit and Phil were playing well and using Ed's lefty bullshit to push Power Plant on to the back foot. Jono and Joe were still hustling and Westway couldn't convert their chances into goals. Some great passing from Power Plant led to a breakaway goal with Westway caught too high and the game then became more even with neither side willing to open themselves up and some good defending from both sides especially Woody and Ed. Two quick goals from Woody and Joe after 11 minutes settled this despite it being a pretty even game.

The 3rd game saw Power Plant playing some lovely passing plays through a visibly tiring Westway. Ed scored a screamer to Susie's unbridled joy and Power Plant effectively stopped Westway's attacks and countered hard with Jono and Joe dominating. Props to Woody for cancelling out a goal of his by admitting that it was a shuffle.

Fun game, good heckles from Susie and interesting post game chat over beers.

  • League table updated, here and on the link in the OP.

  • Minor point but my goal total should be 7.

1 from the game against Power Plant, 6 from Fete a la Maison

  • Updated. You are now above Emmet on the scoreboard.

  • Thanks dude

  • When I look it shows as 2 goals, it should be 7.

Or am I missing something obvious?

  • Shit, sorry dude, data entry fail. Also realized I'd missed the individual goals for that whole game.

So I created a new system on the League Table that makes the goal count clearer.

  • no problem, thanks for looking at it

  • Worms v Beagletown at 630 Newington tomorrow!

Followed by Joshville v Beagletown on Tuesday!

  • There's also this fixture at Newington tomorrow, so should be plenty of refs:

  • will be about to ref for some/most

  • Anyone have a 5/16 hex key? I lost mine in Cologne and need one to put my wheels on tonight for the league game!

    Ref beers will be provided.
