Yes, but using a disc trucker fork. Slackens off the head angle just over 1/2 a degree and makes the wheelbase about a 10mm longer.

Like it? have a build thread or pics?

It's alright, it's been my pubbasketcommuterbike and fine for rolling around town. I started a thread for my mild Surly obsession but never got round to posting much about the 'roller.
Half built:
It's currently in pieces waiting for a trip to a local framebuilder for some cable guides and canti bosses.

the 26" disc trucker fork has same length as steamroller fork: 375<->376mm, but more offset 38<->45mm so slightly twitchier :) Takes same tyre size too: 37mm 700c. Perfect match.

Stop it! Don't put crazy ideas in my head. I still have my roller frame, which I have been lazy about getting rid off. :-(

Yeah but it doesn't take mudguards with a 35c tyre, which is why I went for the 700 version :)

Anyone wanting to part with a 61?

3 month old post, but I wish I'd never read it. Knowing that the reach is the same on the 54cm CC and the 56cm CC basically confirms I have the wrong frame size, should have got a 56.
If I wasn't sentimental about the one I've got having taken me on tour, I'd replace it, but I am so it stays! -

Doesn't matter dude, you got it to fit you, that's all there to it.
It'd be a little worryingly if you have to go to some great extend to make your CC fit you, but you managed, you got the advantage of being easier to get on and off the bike, as well as less vibration going up the seatpost.
TBF I rode a 52cm CC and was fine, abet with a +10 degree stem.

Thought I'd post an updated photo of my Steamroller. Building up a Genesis Fugio at the moment on a very tight budget, but aiming to revamp Shirley once I'm done.
This photo isn't entirely up to date, but it is more recent than the last one. Since my last post I've changed the bars (Ritchey Road Curve), BB (Miche Primato), chain (KMC X9SL), chainwheel (Stronglight CT2 48T) and tyres (Halo Twin Rail Courier, 24mm).
Changed BBs a few times to try and find a better chainline and ended up ripping a few teeth off my freewheel due to misalignment and a track chain (KMC k710). The drivetrain changes mean that it feels a lot quicker than before, particularly with the White Industries 16T cog.
It's a great bike!
Not sure why people come onto this forum to be critical, a well built Steamroller is a thing of joy. -

Only 24mm tyres?

• #1839
Going to be selling mine soon if anyone's interested? 56, Omnium crank, Miche Express rims with Gatorskins, Thomson stem and seatpost, wide risers, Halo Clickster freewheel, DMR V8's etc, everything black apart from the crank arms and the grips... currently based in Essex but moving up to London early next year. PM me if you're interested.

24mm have been fine for me. Mainly using roads, but will try out wider offroad tyres at some point.

FTFY.
No reason to stick to old skinny tyres, especially when you have the clearance.

They are really good - Origin8 Classique.
Anyone got a 49cm frame to sell for my friend?

Very nice green.

If anyone has a 56cm Surly Steamroller frameset that they're looking to shift, then give me a shout!

That looks just so simple and functional (in a good way), nice build.

Has anyone here built up a Surly Steamroller disc?
Seems buying a frameset and straggler CX or Trucker disc fork would be super easy and cheap.
