  • Massive fan of the Rabobank C40....hope you have some dry enough roads to enjoy those tyres.

  • 1) sounds like Sarroni red super circa 82-88, there were masters in that colour as well
    2) sounds like a master olympic or pui, i think 91 onwards all had internal routing, team isotar/panasonic master rocked deltas in that era

  • mine Colnago Master, mainly with c-record, but still much to do/buy

  • a fine '80's model!, there was an '80s del tongo team master for sale a while back

  • Seen this in the flesh and it's lovely... good work @bogi

  • Update on my Colnago. The rear wheel is temporary. I am open suggestions.

  • fine whip!
had a few hrs on the c40, IT IS ALL THAT!

  • That is lovely! I saw it listed and yes you sure got a bargain there. Bar tape is a huge improvement. I think if it were mine I'd opt for a black saddle but that's just a personal preference. I like the look of the thick bladed spokes on the ksyriums, it's a very unique look that just goes with the right bike but not with others. Open Corsa tyres look good too.
Now I know I need a C40 in my life!

  • Thanks @JusCos, I was surprised to get it and then to find it in pretty much perfect condition was a bonus to say the least. Yes, without doubt you need a C40 in your life!

  • Thoughts on this guys? wondering if anyone knows potential year/ authenticity etc etc...
Was worried about the 3 cable guides but i've seen a couple of Supers with 3 on my internet trawl.

  • Seat stays and bottom bracket shell look a bit odd to me. Didn't a lot of the Sprints have 3 cable guides?

  • My thoughts too. I've asked for more pictures to see whats going on.
It's at £78 at the moment...

  • no clover cut out on fork crowns, forks look original to frame, the seat stay caps are unstamped, i'd say it's a wrong un

  • Mmm I'm bailing on it!

  • "too fookin' right laa"

  • hi folks, figured this might be the correct thread in which to post this. Just wondering if you all can id the year & model name for this one?

  • poss circa 82 mexico /super?

  • haha ok thanks saarf. so there is such thing then as a Mexico/Super? I thought they were two different models, but info seems fuzzy on the subject with just a quick search around the net. much obliged!

  • no, there is no such thing as a mexico super
it is either a mexico or super
mexico's a lighter than the super, only way ascertain is to weigh
if the seat tubes caps are filled or rounded the it is a circa 84 super, as the mexico of that era was the nuovo mexico

  • ah ok, thanks. would love to find out more, does this pic help?

  • Certainly looks like early 80's.
TT cable guides and 'Colnago' stamped on seat stay caps. @Saarf means it could be a Super or a Mexico. Decals look earlier though. Repaint?

  • agreed, with the hollow stay caps it's circa 79-83, the 84 catalog shows the super profil and models have rounded, stamped stay caps
again re respray, i cannot see if drop outs are og chromed, if not, frame probably been re done, but sympathetically, so looks ok

  • pics of (minty) drop outs attached...

probably a sympathetic respray indeed. reckon it's well done though, so I'm not going to complain
