No cassette because I'm waiting for a spacer to keep the cassette off the spokes and I ordered a Paul chain keeper. But the tires have arrived so the build is otherwise completed...

The original plan, a gravelracer with the geometry of my beloved Merlin Extralightand with interchangeable parts, turned out exactly as planned.
Now if only I could decide between C17 and Regal...

Both stunning

Having heaps of fun with the bike. In a few weeks from now I'll mount a tent and rear pannier for a two-week trip to the Ardennes...

and rear pannier.
Don't.
Bikepacking is your friends.

thats a great looking bike. Personally it could use a silver stem

Well, I'll have to get the tent, sleeping bag, clothes and other camping stuff from Maastricht to the camping in Spa so a pannier is mandatory. Ordered a dove Brooks Suffolk which will arrive next week. Once I'm settled on the camping I'll do my rides without luggage.

very nice bike!
I also ride 1x10 on my "cx". -

Preparing the bike for two weeks of cycling in the Ardennes. Nice way to combine my two passions: cycling and the northern section of the Battle of the Bulge (Stavelot, Trois-Ponts, La Gleize, Stoumont).

Nice bike, and wonderful scenery.

Thanks, apart from a five-week stint in France on my Merlin I did all milage on this Vetta this year and I absolutely love it. I don't even mind the bigger tires on tarmac as it is a joy to be able to take whatever gravel or dust trail I come across.

Had some good fun in the Dutch mud...

Damn, that makes me want to have a cross bike as well.
Bike looks very good and like lots of fun!
I'd just stick with the chain keeper tbh. I know it's not as neat but narrow wide won't be enough to always secure your chain without a clutch rear mech, and seeing as you've gone for Campag I imagine you wouldn't be too keen on having a modern mtb rear mech the ruin the look. Assuming all of that, a neat chain catcher, such as the Paul, will work well and not destroy the aesthetic (plus, it's cheaper).
