I thought you might be talking about me for a min but I was knocked off in the morning at that section, not evening.
Riding along abreast 2 other riders, only doing about 5 mph because of the roadworks and heavy traffic. I was to the left and the other tw0 riders were half a bike's length ahead and to the right so we were spaced evenly across the whole lane.
Next thing a van's bumper nudges my rear wheel sideways and, coz I'm clipped in, I end up going over sideways towards the pavement. I jumped up and went around to the driver's side and said "You just fucking knocked me off". He didn't deny it but implied he hadn't hit me by saying "I'm always very careful around cyclists, mate. I used to do what you do and I'm always very careful". I just responded by saying "that's great, but you just did knock me off so it's kind of irrelevant and, in this case, untrue".
We argued a bit back-and-forth but I asked him to wait while I checked my bike was OK and everything seemed cool so I just let it go.
He must have been looking the other way or had been sat in that traffic jam for so long, riding the clutch that he just switched off and coasted into the back of me.
Was approaching Blackfriars southbound tonight when a van driver smacked the back of a cyclist hard with his mirror.
They then attempted to speed off over the bridge without stopping.
Given the clusterfuck of roadworks even my ageing legs had enough to catch up and force them to pull over.
Passenger insisted they "didn't even realise" despite his window being fully down at the time.
The look of absolute guilt on the drivers face told another story.
