This. Is. Incredible.
I only discovered Finch Farm yesterday myself, although my settlement sounds like complete poverty mode compared to yours!
Did rebuild the castle walls with foundation blocks though

I'm so proud Bro :')
Keep the updates coming

Finch Farm was annoying at first, constant ghoul, mutants and raiders trouble.
What? the 20 turrets surrounding the farm was not enough?

Thanks!
Will do. Going to be using it as a media hub/games system in the living room. I assume you are all using a mouse and keyboard for Fallout? Would it be crazy to get a steam controller?
I expect to fall at the first hurdle with this thing, keep your eyes peeled for a anger filled "Pile of PC junk" for sale thread at 0.00001% of what I end up paying for them.
If however, I do get it all running, I expect to get carried away and buy all the things for it (GTX 980's and i7's).

Depend on which you're more comfortable with.
I find it easier to aim and shoot with keyboard and mouse.

I have exclusively used a wired xbox 360 controller with fallout.
DayZ I was always about the mouse and keyboard though
Looking forward to building some monster gaming rig one day...

Ahhh cool...
Yeah, I feel M&K is more accurate but controller more comfortable and fun in a way. Good to hear you are using a controller - I already have a wired Xbox one so maybe just stick to that.
DayZ is a defo M&K though, even if I do panic and hit the wrong buttons half the time. The panic button hitting worked to my advantage last night when I found out I had recorded some good bits of game play (i'll keep it to the thread).
I semi hope this Hack dual build doesn't go perfectly because then I will get obsessed and end up building some monster, and probably getting some custom case made up, and maybe even end up playing games rather than talking about it on the internet.

I learn you can do this in Finch Farm;

that broken bit is the bit where i built off from except my building is huge. i actually started off with a ladder like in ed's photo but it works much better using the blocks and you can hang your building off it. I may remove the bottom 4 tiers and make a long ladder walkway with turrets positioned all along it so invaders have to run a gauntlet to gain access (and stick the fast travel point at the top.
only annoying thing is the workbench being on ground level and the fact I can't move the 4 beds in the shack as they're 'owned' by the finch family.

Hold down V to turn on workbench instead of going to it.

I think its more the fact he (she?) can't move essential items like the family beds where they'll return to sleep up out of harms way onto the bridge
I think anyway

That'd make sense, I don't think those kind of NPC get killed unlike Settlers.
I just build a big wall around the settlement and lots of defense on the gate.

Basically what we're saying is that FO4 is an architectural nonsense. Excellent.

this is worse than the home owners thread.

Hmm AssCreed: Syndicate for $22 on PC... I've been burnt on AC on PC before, but that's dirt cheap compared to $59 for PS4 version.
Thoughts?
-
• #14317
I think Ass Creed might be a surprisingly different video game than the one you are expecting.
-
• #14318
hahaha it's just the slack name for Assassins Creed... it was always a bit dodgy ;)

The more I play Fallout 4, the more I discover it's The Sims, by stealth.
But with ultraviolence.

The Evil Within. I picked this up in the sale the other day. Looks great but gameplay seems mainly to be limping around before getting killed by a bloke with a chainsaw. Anyone played it? Is it worth persevering with?

Quick Q reg graphics card. Im after the impossible - small, cheap, low power consumption, NVIDIA, any suggestions? 960?
-

Any bootcampers playing fallout4? I've got a late 2013 imac, i5, 16gb ram, nvidia gt755m
Doable?
-
• #14324
It's alright, chainsaw dude you need to run away from.
Played it for a few hours now sitting in my pile of shame, waiting for me to finish with Fallout and Destiny. -

1 or 2 gb 775? I have roughly the same (2GB 775, 24GB ram) - it breezes through Bioshock Infinite at max settings if thats any indication?
Saying that, I'm keen to know too. Might take the plunge and buy it. Will keep you posted.
Cheers @Kirth and @Festerban
