Of course they're better, but they're made out of a much more advance material. Old alu tub rims are impressive feats of engineering, but then they've had many more years of development than carbon has.
Bit like the derailleur, it's incredibly refined whilst hub gears/internal gears are still playing catchup.

So, some Crabon rims hit those very low weights.
Are they better in the not going out of true/busting than old alu megalow weight?
