i presume you'll sort out the chain length before riding
how far from the dropouts is the axle when you use the small cog -
• #7

Would not ride. (on safety grounds )

Surly's ship with horizontal dropouts and a qr. Just gotta clamp that shit down real tight. Fine for a freewheel.
-
• #12
Just gotta use a decent enclosed cam qr, like a Shimano.
Ftfy.

Goes without saying!?

freewheel and only a front hydraulic disc brake for stopping. would not ride on or off road.

How did you paint the frame? Looks like those 90's mtb paint jobs. I like it.

• #16
change the frame maybe?

The qr is tight enough that the wheel didn't slip. Its at the last bit of the dropouts because of the clearance for the 26x1.95 tyre (had to cut the side thread of the tyre too). It rides perfectly, and last weekend was too muddy to go fast enough and need a back brake.
Some of your comments really make me laugh.
Bare in mind, just for fun this build.Paint comes from spray paint. I've done it with glitter on top and lacquer.

Here what a brooklyn frame can do. Do comment, hate or like, beat me or hug me. Temporary build for a good laugh. The fresh paintwork stays
