  • Cool. Another thing I can never use my Win10 partition for.

  • If you were in that room, the companion reaction is always great;

  • Wireless, innit. Would need to buy a dongle (which is another £25!).

  • nope, you'd need to plug it in with any micro usb cable.

  • Can you get it working with osx? 35 quid isn't bad

  • Nice touch in Just Cause 3:

  • re: xbox wireless just being plugged in: oh. That's annoying. Could have already bought one.

    re: just cause 3 - it's fun. Played a couple of hours this morning.

  • I found the xbox one controller to be quite fussy over which cables it would work with.

  • ah, it worked with the first one I tried so assumed it'd be simple.

  • more underwater exploration, found some piping with lights, odd place to put lights.

    Also managed to find a massive ship similar to the shipwreck further south of the maps, but with light on, could not go forward, DLC or maybe simply an unfinished area that was drowned;

  • So, I use a PS4 controller with PC. I find it much better than the Xbox controllers (I have both). That said, using an Xbox controller is "easier". There's weird things in Windows 10 about getting a device exclusively.

    If you know what you are doing, go PS4 and get ScpServer to take over the bluetooth dongle exclusively. https://github.com/nefarius/ScpServer . It works by taking over the dongle on boot, so it only works with the controller. Supports 4 controllers I believe. Works great for me!

    If you just want a controller, get the Xbox one.

  • I use the Xbox 360 controller because it's what I had already in the house. However, it's convenient that a lot of games are already mapped for it and it matches in-game prompts and what have you.

  • For those of you who think fallout 4 is all fun and games...

  • WTF dude, stop playing The Witcher.

  • Looking for a new graphics card so I can join in with Fallout 4. I've fairly much settled on a GTX 970 but is there any difference between all the different variations? http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=gtx+970

  • Yeah, go abut 3/4 of the way down and there's a list of all of them (or read the article if you got time fo dat)

  • Actually it'll be easier for me to c+p

    Prices are a year old though

  • GTX 970 work brilliant with Fallout 4, my only hindrance is the processor (which admittedly perform very well).

  • This is the one I have

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-Nvidia-Cooling-Graphics-Card/dp/B00S12M24G

    Got +100mhz on cpu, and +400 on ram overclock as well (on top of the default overclock)

    so boosted cpu 1442 Mgz, Ram at around 7410 Mhz (it does actually hold at 8000 Mhz, but I didn't see any real difference)

  • went to add a couple of beds to finch farm just before bed as they were complaining, had already built a separate building next to their fixed homestead on the left so added a couple of levels to it to make room for more beds but then I noticed I was quite close to the overpass above. made a stairway up to a destroyed bit in the side wall (facing the front of the farm house it's above and just to the left. hopped up there and realised the whole thing is free from ground access and within the build limits (you can even scrap the old vehicles up there).

    had a look and realised I could put a concrete block into the broken side of the overpass, added another to make it a slight runout, stuck a shack internal stairwell (the one next to the concrete foundations under wood > floors) on the side of the overhanging block to make a downwards stairwell running away from the overpass, continued going down until i was just off the ground, then stuck a concrete foundation on the front of the bottom set of stairs to make a long stairwell from ground level all the way up to the overpass, I then went up and built each floor gradually getting wider as I went up.

    now have a 6 storey settlement which has a single entry point at ground level through a shack doorway and a single long staircase that runs up to the overpass where they exit through another shack door and I plan on building all my non food/water resources up there to keep them safe from attack.

    in order to protect the farmers I went up to the 3rd floor, stuck a side entrance in, built a stairwell down to where my crops are once i hit ground level I built a large rectangle using foundation blocks. stuck a shack wall/roof around the entire perimiter and now the farmers can access the crops without being exposed to the many (MANY) threats that spawn in that area.

    then I realised it was 2.30am. fuck.

  • This looks dark. I like the look of this.

  • Also, I've only gone and finally bloody done it... started to BUILD A PC.
