This may be a complete shot in the dark, but the 853, the frame size, and various other details all point to you being the same Matt I spoke to then.

I only just saw that this thread was even before the blog, so it hadn't been posted here yet.
I think Matt's day job is still working for Brompton, but even though he's made own bikes in the meantime, I don't think it's a full-time thing yet. I'll definitely order one from him if/when I have the money together.
(I'm pretty sure he hasn't been on here for years.)
