Basically, long story short I just got a Ricoh GRD IV second hand camera in the post and I'm pretty sure there is a focusing issue with it, It doesn't seem to want to focus on anything whilst in auto beyond 4 feet away, unless it is on subjective tracking. It will focus on things close up but wont focus on anything else even when on Multi AF or Spot AF. I've noticed that f is always staying on 1.9.
The weird thing is subjective tracking seems better and focussed and then after I have shot in subjective tracking even when I put it back to AF it seems fine for a moment but when turned off its back to its un-focused self.
Macro isn't on, and I have re-set the settings. Im a bit confused as to what might be up, I think maybe its a case of a faulty camera.
Its a longshot but I was wandering if anyone has any idea whats happening or any advice really?
