Hard to know what the weather will be like but as we won't exactly be smashing it around town and will sometimes be next to the river and stopping a bit to admire the occasional view please dress warmly. But if you show up in one of those rapha thermal skinsuits I'll boot you off the ride.

oh nice! This is exactly the ride I came online just now looking for! AND my inlaws are already lined up to babysit that night as we're going to the launch.
Dan do you have a route in mind? Will you post? I am expecting mini K #2 and so am not in top form, thus probably can't do the entire thing (or any hills).... Would be good to know where/when my bailing options are...
If not no worries I will sort on the night. Be good to see you!

WIll be great to see you, Chris! Ludwig posted a previous route in last year's thread:
https://www.lfgss.com/comments/12642938/
I think that it seems to go up Primrose Hill might have been the end, and then further north may have been Ludwig's way home? If it was still part of the ride, that part (at the end) might not be good for you.
There was also one in which we looked at a lot of stuff in the City and around Victoria Street which definitely didn't feature any hills.
Phil's original ride was a long loop east, via the Isle of Dogs, south through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel, then along the Thames Path, via County Hall, and then up to W1, which was around 4am if I recall correctly. (Lots of punctures and mechanicals early on delayed us forever, including a very long wait near Russia Dock Woodland.)
This ride shouldn't be nearly as long.

Hey Chris! I'm still tweaking the route but there won't be any hills. It will be the City and then not further West than Chelsea with the option to head East afterwards. I'll send you the route so you can have a look when it's finished :)

It's worth bumping these event threads a bit as they don't get auto-bumped when someone clicks the attendance button

are you ending with dinner???
I'd love to, but we'd have to find a place that's open very late.
Are you coming up to London for it? Would be lovely to see you!

The route I've planned is going to be about 30 miles - I've dropped you a pm @ms-chris with the route idea so you can plan it out :) - and I'll be aiming for Bar Italia at the end but that's changeable depending on what people are up for. Apologies for not having a dinner planned out at the end (although that would be great!). Attack the Pack launch party starts at 7 so it would be great if we could head out for 8:30 so by the time we're in Chelsea etc the lights aren't off.

Yeah please!
Looks like people are up for riding around London and seeing some some Christmas lights this season. Attack the Pack is having it's launch party at Look Mum No Hands on Saturday the 5th so I thought we could start from there and show our love (and you should buy a pack or register to do so or whatever because it looks great). About 8:30ish we'll leave LMNH and head out to see some lights. We'll finish at a pub or whereever people want. It will have beer / winter whisky stops to keep people warm. Probably around 30km-ish, depending on how fast the group is and take in some lights similar to previous years. We'll never be that far from central so easy for you to bail at any point.
