  • Generally you get sent a key which you enter into Steam (or some other distribution form), and it's added to your library. I presume that's what they're trying to get across.

  • Sound good, do you trust the website tho?

  • Difference is staggering, especially the shadow, lighting and vegetation;

  • I trust no webpage. Having said that, were it not pre-order, I'd order. But I just don't want the first to come around and be "umm, where's my game?" and have to email people...

  • Staggering if you are looking for it, if you just want to play the game they all look pretty damn good.

  • Elder scrolls online 20 quid on Steam at the mo.

    Alien Isolation just 7.99

  • I can barely tell the difference.
Tried a different game - Stalker. It insane hard. Maybe too hard for me, I also didn't realise its quite old so graphics a bit crap.
Going to give 7 Days to Die a bash while I wait for everyone to get bored of Fallout.

  • Why don't you just get Fallout BRO? I actually had a dream I was playing it last night and I haven't even played it. I blame this thread. I was running through some DayZ-like barn shooting ghouls and trying to pick up bottle caps and scrapping stuff for a settlement. Again, I stress, I haven't even played it.

  • Ok, ok, maybe I will... mayyyybeeeee....

  • I think I notice it more because Falloyt is one of those games where you can actually take it easy and appericate the surrounding.

Annoyingly, I've just played The Last of Us Remastered and the graphic felt a little lacking, still enjoyable to play and a great story tho.

(I'm aware the last couple of Fallout is hardly stunning compare to Red Dead even!)

  • I played Fallout for an hour yesterday and just pottered about collecting stuff and sorting sanctuary out a bit.

Basically I did my virtual chores, haha..

  • Stalker is a bit crap.
7 days to die also a bit crap.
    Refunds requested.

  • At least try stalker with the Complete 2009 mod

  • It begins

After waiting bloomin ages for it to install

  • I don't understand mods. I'm new to this PC gaming lark. Please elaborate.

  • Very fustrated how they didn't have subtitles for that (and the intro).

  • Seeing as I only use Steam these days:

Go to the library page for the game question and scroll down past DLC - you should see Steam Workshop. Click Browse the workshop.

Welcome a whole new world of stuff from updates to graphics skins, AI tweaks, weapon packages, all sorts depending on the game. Not sure what the 2009 mod is on Stalker but some games have TONS of modded content - usually free though recently Steam have allowed creators to start charging for it.

  • Cheers BRO.
I ended up getting a refund on them both.
Graphics were crap, and they were very very tough... got killed by rain after spawn no 1000 in 7 days to die. RAIN. In seconds.

  • This week I will mainly be re-living my early 20's by playing lots and lots of this:

  • level 37 now and still not made it to diamond city so am like 2/??? on story quests. I did loop around it along the coast to get to preston garvy to liberate the castle and I officially did about 3 BoS missions now but mostly I've discovered 100+ locations so far and explored about 80 of them.

can't help but think I've barely scratched the surface though as I'm still only on 2 bobbleheads and i pretty much comb through every inch of every place.

new highlights are probably exploring a small science bunker, no ghouls or raiders in sight, step out into open from sneaking and a fucking yao guai bursts out of a side tunnel and starts chasing me benny hill style around the room while i go fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck and try to switch from my stealthy 10mm pistol to my oh shit it's on top of me combat shotgun.

or when I am nearly through one area, jump into what looks like a spectator pit in the floor of a basement, mooch through a few dismembered corpses... then from behind me I hear ROAR oh hai mr deathclaw... wait why are you running at me with that funny look in your eyes... benny hill theme music starts playing again fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

  • I'm in a similar position, L16, need to go liberate a castle. Met the BoS but not done anything.
Had fun clearing a water treatment facility, plenty of Super Mutants, one legendary then got inside and met a legendary Mirelurk. Glitched on a walkway and coulndy attack me, punched it to death. Got shit armour for my efforts.

  • Thing is, the Castle quest is pretty tough, best to go to Diamond City first and do the quest there.

The main advantage of Diamond City is that it's like Rivet City in FO3, a place where you can go and trades, find more quest, especially load of useful side quest allowing you to level up easily without having to fight lots of legendary enemies.

  • However, once you get the Castle, try and get as much concrete as possible so you can rebuild the wall;
